Come relax in this cozy cottage with your own private lake on 10 acres of our 60 acre property! Whether you decide to fish (when nature permits, algae can take over at times) Enjoy an evening sitting on the patio overlooking the lake, watching the horses play, or snuggle up and read a book, this 4 bdrm cottage will not disappoint. surrounded by nature but only 15 minutes from downtown, 4 miles to airport, 2 minutes to winding river golf course and southwestway Parks playgrounds and trails.
One of a kind property in Indianapolis on your own private lake at the front of our 60 acre property. You are free to roam the front 10 acres (including the full lake). From the backyard you can see our horses in the pasture next door.
Watch the sunset as the property comes to life at night with all of the sounds of nature.
It’s not Uncommon to see deer in the field, turtles sunbathing on the lake, our resident blue Herron, “Harold”, wild turkey, or the families of ducklings who live here in the spring!
The lake is a natural water source fed by a creek. Although we do our best to treat it, there are times when the natural vegetation is beyond our control.
The house is located next to a big open field, and while we take necessary precautions to keep out any bugs and field mice, the occasional visitor may make its way in.
Close to the interstate and downtown yet it feels like you are deep in the country in a nature preserve.
There are not many properties like this! Listen to crickets chirp, watch fireflies dance, horses play, and roast marshmallows over a fire at this enchanting cottage. Relax next to your own private waterfall feature overlooking the lake in the back yard.
We are on a main road and The home is at the front of the property so easily accessible and easy to find. You will hear cars passing when up at the front of the property. The home does have well water but we have a softener as well as a fresh water dispenser for drinking water. Check directions. Sometimes the gps throws you off. It likes to take people to a near by bridge. I’ve provided directions if this happens.

At our property we want our guests to have the best experience possible enjoying the country setting, private lake, and the front 10 acres!
Guests are more than welcome to fish.
We live across the lake. These are the only two houses on this lake.
We live in the only other house on this 30 acre property on the other side of the lake. We love to meet and socialize with our guests or give them privacy depending on their preference!
We are available by phone or text during your stay.
We do have a groundskeeper who helps us keep our 60 acres under control with mowing, weedeating and landscaping. We do our best to do most of this work between 11 am and 3 pm. If you see someone pulling weeds, cleaning air filters, or mulching, just know we are doing our best to make your stay as beautiful as possible :)
The cottage is on a private lake on 60 acres, but still within a 15 minute drive to downtown and 3 neighboring cities! Just 5 minutes away from the closest restaurants but a lake on one side and a field on the other away from any neighbors!
There is a driveway and a 2 car garage at the cottage to park your car, but a lot of people traveling use Uber and Lyft.
The property has well water. There is a Whole house water softener to keep high quality water as well as a fresh drinking water dispenser.

Summary: Place had an awesome view. It is listed as not much nearby, but actually has a gas station just up the hill if you need anything. Not a huge living space, but i'd spend the time outdoors if I were you. Its worth it. Excellent response time from the owner as well.

Summary: The location is nice, about 15 minutes from anywhere you would want to go! We booked for a relaxing family trip to kick off the holiday season, we especially booked due to the hot tub! Unfortunately there was mouse poop all over the kitchen! ( I understand a farm house will have mice, but there should. Not have been mouse poop on the day we checked in. The hot tub was not working, emailed the owners and they sent someone out right away to repair, however by the time we got back to the house the hot tub would not heat up past 85 degrees. The tv in the game room did not have sound which really put a damper on our trip, as we had planned to have the adults hangout in there and watch a movie while the older adults and children slept in the house, instead we had to sit in the living room and keep our voices down since we couldn’t be in the game room away from everyone. Not to mention the space heaters in the garage flipped the breakers twice and then when I went to unplug them large sparks flew out of the outlet. After this we didn’t let anyone back in the garage out of fear a child would get electrocuted while trying to connect to the plugs. Over all we still enjoyed our trip as we have not all been in the same house together for many years but my expectations were not met on this trip. :( hopefully the next people who book have a better experience.

Summary: Very comfortable, homey place. Grill, fire pit and hot tub were perfect! Bed was comfortable and bathrooms were perfect for getting ready! Cute game room in the garage. Back yard was refreshing to hangout and relax. Country home, but close to everything! Everything met our needs, and host was great with communicating.
